Lemme Lemme Update cha!!

Sooooo....Guess what y'all....................

I got to do makeup for the Grammys on Sunday!!!!! I had SO much fun! Unfortunately, I got sick and have been in the bed since but hey......
Anywayz....heres's me in action>

Shout out to Dawn over at Makeup Crazie. She had a post about a few books she ordered from Amazon. I ordered the 2 she recommended(Pro Makeup: Salon Secrets of the Professionals By Kit Spencer, FabJob Guide to Becoming a Makeup Artist by Jennifer James) plus....one that I've wanted forever......The Makeup Artist Handbook: Techniques for Film, Television, Photography, and Theatre By Gretchen Davis & Mindy Hall. They were all a great buy!! I love books & I love to read so if you all have some books you recommend, let a sista know!

I went to the MAC Pro to Pro Party!

The MAC Pro to Pro is basically a 2 hour networking party for Makeup Artist and the like.

Let me just add that the Maybelline 24hr Super Stay is WHACK!
If you're going to the club or a date, its good, but to wear it all day, it doesn't last. 24hr It Is NOT!!! I needed it to last about 8 hrs and it was NOT happening! Revlon ColorStay lasts longer.

Life has been goin' on! *Pic Heavy*

Hey my Loves!!!

Ya sista has been super busy! I'm sorry for abandoning you guys! I have a number of exciting things going on that I'm waiting and working on. I did makeup for Trends magazine again. I've only seen 2 pictures from the shoot & it has me looking forward to the mag publishing! I was offered a job at MAC!!! Exciting huh?? (Long story though)
I'm back at work. < Thats going well! And a plethora of other things not makeup related that y'all probably would give a darn about!:}

My Thanksgiving eyes!
I used MAC Naked Lunch, Goldenrod, Texture & Sketch. My liner was a mistake that I didn't have time to fix. I used a Smashbox pencil that I got from the $99cents store next to the salon. :}






For some reason I've been into the smokey eyes & I won't stop until I try every color combo with black that I can. Wait until the magazine comes out! I was smoking everybody with different color creases! I was excited about over using my Carbon.


I was on my way to a biker event.

5. I Must not walk or drive by a Borders books or a MAC store . I get real ignorant with my money when it comes to books & MAC. I love to read and y'all know I love me some makeup!

6. I love music and can Not go a day without it. Music is my life! Music is ME!

7. I make a music video for every song I listen to while riding in the car. I become the artist! If you're in the car with me, u MUST be in the video too or I will pull over and make your a** get out!!!!!

'Good Hair' the movie

So....
Comedian Chris Rock was inspired to create the film when one of his daughters asked why she didn’t have "good" hair. Its an amazing experience to sit and listen to children speak about what's beautiful and what isn't. Of course the media has a lot to do with many of their responses. Most believed Beyonce was better than Erykah Badu & India Aire simply because of their hair. Surprisingly, my daughter preferred the natural haired sistas over Beyonce ( we are both HUGE Beyonce fans) and I was quite proud! Personally, I wear a relaxer because my hair is short and it needs to be straight for the styles I like to wear. "Good Hair" to me is healthy hair!
